i thought i read on here that a pro xr seat would fit and looks half decent, now that i have one coming im not so sure. does anyone have any pics or any info of someone doing this. Im stretching my viper to a 151 so i would like some good seat rise. Probably just should have went boss but went the cheaper route, any help would be appreciated. :letitsnow

Yep......a Boss seat is worth the money, best $$ I have spent on my sled to date. The only problem with the seat you are talking about would be the fit between the seat and the fuel tank. That would just be a fit and finish blemish I would assume?

yep i jumped on the deal to soon, should have just spent the extra and went boss, guess when it gets here ill slap it on and post some pics. thanks

yes there is a mount kit, but yes you can get creative to get it on there as well. i have the same thing, prox shorty on my srx/viper project sled and there was some mounting brackets, nuts, bolts, rivets, and a strap that runs from the front left corner to the front right corner to hold those corners tight to the tank

the guy i bought the seat off of had the kit with it, but what you need is brackets #14 & #6, the strap #1, and bolts #13, washers #12. the rivets just pick up at a hardware store. the polaris parts just look up in a fiche or go to a local dealer and tell them its for an 03 prox 440 or something (as long as it has the shorty seat). no i don't have any pictures of the sled, its in boxes. i'm in college and i buy things when i can and without a tunnel (VanAmburg tunnels are $$$) i'm not gonna start assembling.

I was not aware that any of that stuff was needed. I've never heard of any of the Polaris guys needing this stuff.

Here's a picture of the seat.

I think all you will need is the 2 bolts and washers.

I plan on shipping the seat tomorrow.

Do you go on the SND rides or any others? I get to a couple and would like to see your sled in person sometime. Looks good.

Except for the green bogies I guess hahaha

I saw this morning that Slydog has wheels now that are multi colored or solid. They would look good on there and they say that it is supposed to pull snow into the slide area for better cooling. Something to check out, I have new wheels or I would have gone with the Slydog wheels myself.
