Suspension Bolt??

Hi Bernie, It adjusts spring tension on the rear springs in the skid. If you loosen up the bolt that goes through the plastic spring saddle block you can the use that bolt to move the saddle up or down in the slot to change the spring rate in the rear of your suspension. Just remember to retighten the saddle block bolt when your done.

OK thanks, I had the springs undone, so it turned easily by my fingers, sort of thought thats what it was for.

Went out to the shop, and saw how it works, under pressure, with spring in saddle, when you lighten the spring pressue, will that also lower the sled down?

No it won't lower it. It only softens the spring rate which may cause it to sit lower with a rider depending on his/her weight.

My sled is a 78, but I picked up a 77 ex340, I noticed wher the rear suspension bolts to the sled tunnel bracket, the 77 mounts thru the tunnel, above the running board, my 78 hooks below the running board. If I had the time I would set the 77 chassis for oval racing, lower to the ground. But I have the 78, just about done, maybe next year, oh ya, looks like there close to the same as far as the front mount.
