I hit the jackpot Friday night and found 3 Brand new vipers and a used Venom. My wife likes the Red Viper ER and the Red Venom ER. Which one do you think would be better sled for a female? She doesn't ride aggressive. Kinda rides slow if you ask me. I don't know much about the venom but the dealer says it's a tamed viper. Give me some opinions on the venom.

I'd get her the Viper ER...Why not...then you have 2 Vipers in yer fleet and its not like the Viper is super aggressive...but if or when she needs the extra ooomph to get outta or into a situation...shes got that extra power...
And besides you'll have a choice in the mornin to pick which sled you wanna take out when she's not goin out...

Good for you for finding yer jackpot...

good luck

both are good but i prefer the viper

i own a viper and ive let my girlfriend drive mine. she i dont think will ever ride like me i enjoy the power and the snap of a viper. where when i look back she is steadly poking behind me at an even pace. she loves the ride of the viper but then she will prolly love the ride of my new nytro too LOL.
But over all yes the venom is i call it the vipers lil brother and looks just as nice.

the 600 triple has plenty of power and no power valves. I would say go with the venom, it is a 600 triple diehard redhead. You essentially are getting the same chassis with a little less power, and you wont be buying spare $$ power valves and $$ cables. The Viper is a higher-maintenance sled than the Venom IMO. My .02

right now I'm waiting on the dealer to give me a price. The red viper is a 2003(o miles) and the venom is a '04 I believe. I want to have 2 vipers in the family but depends on the price. :letitsnow :letitsnow

I had a 98 Vamax 600 and now I have a 03 Viper. I would go with the Viper. It's far better sled, great gas milage and fun. Just my thought, let her decided. Good luck.

this dealer has 3 leftover brand new vipers. One red(ER) one Blue (ER) and one Viper S. The venom is used with 1,100 miles( i think). I I could I'd buy all four, lol. I really gotta sell my bike out right to get the viper but we'll see what he gives me for price and trade in. :letitsnow She wants Red so it's down to the red viper or the venom. I should know what the deal is tomorrow.

I would go with the viperS also, but get whatever makes her happy. With that said I would go with the best price, although the viper will have better resale price and potential in the future

Venom

Well my better half started sledding last year and we found her a 2004 Venom Red and she loves it. I have driven it a few times and love it. I ride a SRX and i don't mind taking hers for a rip once in awhile a totally different ride. I know its not as powerful as the Viper but it will still fly, she radar at 96mph. I would recommend the Venom to anyone. Also they have a lot of boltons for this sled if it is not enough for her, but i know she will love it

Bender,
That's what I was wondering if there was any females on here that ride the venom. If you don't mind can you tell me what you paid for yours and the mileage? The one we are looking at is a 2004 and has 1,100 miles on it.

I completely agree! Those 600's get amazing mileage, they are lighter, less maintenance (because of no powervalves to clean and break cables and pull cables through the ends of the valves), and will be cheaper to purchase and insure, and is one year newer. Vipers are nice too, but this is for your wife. How often is she going to be bagging it and cranking it up to 110 mph? Go with the venom...

i think a cool thing to do would be.....buy her the red one and buy another blue one for you. then use the new one and build a performance sled.

If money wasn't an option she would be getting the red one and I would get the viper sport to go with my blue one. I only have one sport bike to sell so That means only one new sled, lol :o| :o|

Venom

She bought it right around this time last year. It is a 2004 it had 4400kms (2400 miles) and she paid $4400 Canadian. The guy we bought it from just put 144 studs new cover and new shocks covers. Thats a wicked deal for around here for that sled. It think he put about 1000 miles on it last winter with no problems. Opps she did foul a plug but that was it. Here is a pic from last year

HOLY CRAP the deal is almost done. I got a 2004 Venom ER (red) with 1,110 miles for $3600. They offered me $3350 for my bike. I gotta come up with $421 cash and the wife will have her sled. This place has a crap load of viper left overs. I think they have 5 brand new vipers in their warehouse. :o| :o| So hopefully I will have pics up soon of my wifey's new ride.
