What he said. I think the Viper S is a better looking sled, and will probably hold its value a bit longer. Only down side, no electric start or reverse.

Wow, still a left over S out there! That might be a collectors piece! Love to have that crate in my garage.
You made a good choice with the ER. Reverse is handy for the ladies IMO and E-start doesn't hurt either. They like those conveniences which in turn makes things easier for you. She will enjoy the sport more not having to hassle with dragging a heavy sled or pulling her arm off. Heck, at times I wish I had reverse on my 02'.
We just brought an 04' S home Sunday for my wife. No E-start, but it does have reverse added already as well as many other tasty things. I think I'm jealous as it might just be nicer than my 02'! I guess I get the best of both worlds!
