help on rebuilding '00 vmax 700

my reliable 2000 vmax 700 is due for some maintainence. it has run well for 8000 miles and i would like to freshen it up a bit. i am looking for-
1. a maintainence manual for the sled
2. advice on what i should do to it. i'm told new rings and gaskets.
3. some instructions on how to complete this rebuild
4. any other suggestions you guys have to make it faster or more reliable.

nobody on here will agree with this, but a buddy of mine has 11500 miles on a 2000 SXR 700 and he has not really been kind to it by any means, but it runs all day with my 04 viper - I'd say give everything in your skid a good looking over, go thru your clutches and keep riding the snot out of it!!!

I did my 2000 Vmax last year at 9000+ miles, now have over 10k. I did the exhaust drilling, head gasket mod, stretched it to a 136 x 1.25" 6 pitch Predator, different helix, notched the reed cage, added Viper bars and raised 2"s, replaced all the suspension bushings and bearing as needed, C&A skis, seat riser.
My favorite mod is probably the notched reed cage and helix but it is hard to say since I did alot all at once. The 136 is great off trail and the bar/seat rise makes a long day not seem so long.

You will also find that the reason I started the "big" project (at least for me) was a stud through the front cooler that left me on the dragging end of a tow rope. ha, well not so funny
