New to Yamahas. Need some SRX advice

you can bolt the viper shocks into yoru skid ( they are the same), get longer transfer rods, or make 10mm extensions for them ( easy) and flip the front shock brackets around to raise the front height 1" to balance the ski pressure, and your good to go.

that, and a 1" camoplast track, and you are setup

if you don't want it for $1700, I know who does.
keep us psoted. I drove to work with the heater on this morning

oh, and if you really want to go fast do this

Hey Betheviper I already have Max Perf. front end kit and long travel kit in the skid , would I have to have the rods changed in the viper shocks like my stock ones were done ? Dana

if you have the rear your all set,
they have a few differnt things they do to the front, you may have longer shaft front shocks or just a set of rods to make it wider.

you dont need viper rear shocks, what you have is as good or better.

you may want to tighten the skid up and do some mods to it to make it last if your going to use it.

you should go over to sledmaine.com and go to the bulletin board, there are alot of southern maine guys on there that meet up to go sledding.

depending on what was done to the front end you might gain some ride and or handling up front. would have to see what is in there.

Thanks Betheviper , do you ever get down around Milo , Brownville area during riding season ? I used to be up you way alot when I had bear hounds. This site is awesome and you guys are better than sevice manuals. Thanks alot , Dana

i go down to bangor a few times a year, if you own a srx, you need to ride the county, that is where that sled will shine.

know alot of people in bangor area

So, krazyzx9...did you buy the sled ?

tomseal, I did put the gear in. I forgot I had it. The first day out last year I just about flipped the ole' girl over backwards. Scared the crap out of my nephew and his F-7 who was right beside me...that's was. Seems to ad a little snort.

Picked it up for $1500. The track is fine. Previous owner thought maybe it could be replaced. It has a pioneer performance small wheel hifax saver. Not sure how these work. The hood is scrathed from a fence post taste test. Post won. No cracks though. Only thing bad is the valves pulled through. I have found a set of new ones for 175 bucks. I am going to use one of turks clutching recommendations. I look forward to riding it.
