I am working on a black SRX and would like opinions on what to do for decals. I am leaning toward no decals and just leaving it all black. In these pictures things are just together enough to get an idea what it will look like. I still need to actually put the sled back together.

I also would like any opinions on the windshield. The one in the pics came with the sled and has a lot of scratches. Originally I planned on putting the stock yamaha black one on it... Now I am not sure.

I included some before and after pics just for grins.

no decals buddy. looks very good nice job im jealous. are you talking about the the low yamaha windshield. i will have to come check it out. the yamaha low windshield is actually called smoked but is pretty dark, i put one on my 2000 and love the way it looks, but you gotta order yamaha windshield decal separately.

i will have to agree with everyone else and say leave the decals off. you got a great lookin sled in all black. i would also say go with the yamaha windy, i think it looks much more agressive then the cobra windshield.

I love it but with no decals be prepared to answer this question a lot..... Nice sled, What the F&*%! is that thing?????

decals

I changed my mnt. SRX hood to an outlaw lightweight. Came painted black. No decals and I left it that way.

I appreciate the responses guys. I am still up in the air on the windshield. BlueMagoo - I may need to borrow yours and see what it looks like. I'm pretty sure the stock yammy one is what I want, but it's hard to say without seeing it on there.

If it was me Id keep the windshield you have on there and get a White 10-12in Tuning Fork sticker. I think it would look sweet.

Hmm.. That would eliminate the "What is it" question. Maybe I will try to photoshop that in and see what it looks like. It also saves me from buying a windshield. This one is scratched up pretty good in the center, but the sticker should offset that.

Here it is with a tuning fork. It might be too much for me with the rest of the sled being so black.

Looks sinister all black , Id leave the sticker off if it were me , Theyll know what smoked them when they see the yamaha on the snow flap , thats all that matters !

I am a little partial to black...lol

If it were mine I would buy the new factory small tuning fork emblem that fits in the recessed circle in front of hood, no stickers anywhere else and the factory smoked low windshield. I also think if you scrubbed the tunnel with a sos pad or fine scotchbrite pad all 1 direction and went with the brushed aluminum look it would set it off, the polished tunnels are a pain to keep nice and your boots will make all kinds of scratches in it, youll be polishing it all the time, brushed finish would look trick!

There's a Viper somewhere on here all blacked out called "Darth Viper" .
In my opiniion , (not that its worth much, but)!
Has to be the meanest looking sled Ive ever seen ! Your SRX could have the makings of that if you kept with it .

DDDDRRRRR !! do I get the award for clueless or what ,
Kudos to you MRVIPER , I didnt even notice you owned Darth Viper , That sled is SICK !!!!
