I'm using the NGK BR9ES plugs in the Viper now, but I have Iridium BR9EIX left over from when I used them in the Phazer II.
Is it a good idea to switch over? I never had to change a single plug in the Phazer in three years.

my brother kirkswims uses them in his viper. every time he puts the br9es in his it foul's them all within the next 3 rides. with the irridiums he has not fowled a plug in 5 years unless it was -40c.

I've been using iridiums for the past few seasons and they seem to work good. No problems here. I will be using them again this year.

Something is going on with his sled or his starting procedure if it fouls br9es's, but at least he found another method that works for him.
Mine fouls the br9es when i use any synthetic other than Motul. You can't buy motul everywhere so I run the iridiums becuase no matter what oil I run it never fouls them.

Great plugs, run them and never have a problem.
I ran them in my Viper the last year I had it.. Seemed to run better.. easier starting. pulled hard..

I don't understand how you guys foul plugs. Something is a miss????? I can put plugs in my SRX at the begining of the season and forget about them for the rest of the season. Are Viper's hard on plugs???

No, I haven't had any probs running the br9es plugs in my viper... I don't think I've ever fouled a plug in this sled
except maybe when I fogged it to death. I just leave the fogged plugs in the sled all summer and use em to fire it up the next winter and burn off the rest of the fogging oil, then throw in a clean set and she's good to go. I do want to try the iridiums though.

I replace them at the start of the season and forget them all season weather on a srx or viper. The key is do not touch the throttle when the choke is on.

These aren't Vipers but...We put them in my SRX and my kid's 600SX last year and had no issues at all.
I've never ever fouled a plug in my SRX. My son's 600 used to foul plugs fairly easy. With the Iridiums, he never fouled at all last year. But, we also figured out the choke adjuster was loose at the lower end of the cable so it wouldn't go to full choke. This seemed to help too as it isn't cold blooded any more.
We got ours from CB Performance.
