I have a ported 2002 SRX 700. I am running 40-10 Heelclickers. It engages at 4500 and I would like to raise the engagemnt. Stock rollers are 15.6 Super Torquer says if you want to raise engagement put on larger rollers. Has anyone tried this?
Thanks
Thanks
Increasing engagement is easy, just take off some weight of the heel. I have the same sled but stock and I have played with HC's all winter but I'm not there quite yet. Do not use larger rollers because they will come in conflict with the washers on your heel screw. Even with the 15,6mm rollers you have to grind off some of the washers so they don't chew up the rollers. Hope this helps.
Btw, are you experiencing dcs problems on your sled or was it you who disabled it? thanks

Hauck told a way to disable it. But it would not run over 8000 rpm's. Retarded the timing. So I just run 110 octane in the grass with my 140 mains. When I had my dcs going off it was with a bigbore that had like 165 psi. Cut the heads down to 140 psi and never had a probelm again. If I take weight out of the heel won't it hurt my low end at all? Thanks Cory
I don't know the answer to that, sorry, but I know putting on larger rollers isn't an option.
You can experiment with weight placement. Lighten the heel for higher engagement then use the mid & tip to fine tune rpm,s where u need em.There are optional ways to tune these weights.
If your using them for drag racing you need to notch them where the rollers sit do them evenly and weigh them the best way to it is with a dremel.
I ran lot's of heel weight to grab the beldt and nothed the weights. Many other drag racers do it the same way as I described with the heel clickers.

How much would that raise my engagement? I would like to maybe still use them for for trail riding also. Or should I just stick to my 8dn-20's for the trail?
It all depedns on how much you grind them for engagement.I had mine engaging at 5400 for drags.
I ouldn't use the custom heel clickers for trail riding that engaement is too high plus you would runlighter weight for trail and it would be higher.
