Hey guys just a quick question about the new track i got. Its a 1 Inch hacksaw with 192 warthog studs 1.175" My question is do I need to switch the the 8 tooth drivers to use this combo?? I havnt put anything back together as of yet and was just wondering before I did. And if I can just use the stock drivers on the machine should I replace them? I've heard that it will increase the track life, I've swapped tracks on an older v-max but track life wasnt much of a concern then so i just put the old drivers back on. Any help help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I just put the exact same setup on my '99. There are no clearance issues with the heat exchanger. However it barely rubs on the front protectors. I was told to just by letting it wear in it would be fine. We'll see. I may end up hitting it with the sander. With smallers drivers, you won't have any clearance issues. I think the speedo will be off tho.

Clearance will be fine with tunnel and exchangers but it will rub the heat exchanger protectors. If i did it again I would clip the track down over the protectors because the track ripped out one of my front exchanger protectors from the rubbing. That is not common though, and many others have let theirs wear in without issue. Just letting you know my own experience with the issue.

^^^^What would you use to clip it? Is a small sander fine or is there a better way.

I Think I'll wait and put it all back together and then check the clearance. I've heard of guys on here just letting it wear down but I definately dont want the protector ripping out. Thanks for the input guys again

You can use an end-nip cutter to trim the track. It is just a pliers that cuts on the end of the jaws instead of the sides.
