HONDA buying Polaris?

....."I spend money on things I dont have, on things I dont need, to impress people I dont know."....

I like that too!!

MSASRX - yeah, it's the white Tahoe 2 door - bought it new and the kid has been driving it for the past couple of years (Mrtahoe) and he decided to get a car - can't bring myself to get rid of it - decided to "upgrade" the bad boy and keep it as my driver - as far as classic cars, I have a Nova, a 442, a Cutlass, and a couple of GTO's - I like to call them 11's, 12's, and 13's cuz that is how they run!!!

We are REALLY off topic now!!!!!!!! :offtopic:

My kid used to go to rita lehman's next to where you live...I think. We have the loud 96'svt cobra .....Fun in the warm months !

IME, polaris makes a nice sled.

it's not like we are talking about arctic cats. those are not quality.

now as far as honda, I have to relate this article in regard to sleds to their sport motorcycles.

Honda sportbikes are always good, but are bland compared to pretty much every other brand of sportbike. I would hate to have that happen to polaris, and I can't ever see it happening.

and as fas as I am concerned, honda's entry into PWC only caused the average PWC price to skyrocket. Granted there were a lot of idiots that should not be on a machine that do not understand there are no brakes on them, causing more states to have new rules that were PWC specific did not help either. LOL

my new top of the line sport PWC was 6k in 96, now the same would be at least 8k, if not more.

those big bad 250hp 3 seaters are now 11k OMG...

Will never happen.Polaris has been making a comback since last year and now with this years line up.They have the best front end on snow.

Like yamahalic22 mentioned earlier, Honda has been playing with snowmobiles for the past couple years. If Honda was to enter into the snowmobile market it makes a lot of sense to buy a company like Polaris to minimize their investment in a reduced market. G.B.

Honda does build wheelers and bikes, but they want to be sucessfull were Polaris (work machines) and Victory (big cruisers) are. and with the sleds, they could do a better job of selling year round.

Also through in the fact that Yami is showing that sleds and quads aren't realy all that much different...
