thinking of adding a extra set of center idlers inbetween the rear idlers and the front 2, to help even out wear.
anyone ever done this, looks to be real easy.

Definately check once and check twice to make sure there are no clearance issues as the suspension is going through its full travel cycle. When I got my srx it had extra idlers on the outside of the rails in that area and they would hit the carrier wheels on compression and would not allow full suspension travel. Small wheels would definately be much easier to find a home where they don't interfere with anything else.

Pictures please. Would like to know where you place them?

the mod at this link would work for grass racing only. the arms that run up the side of the shock as well as the mount for these arms will hit the tops of the wheels before the arm bottoms on the mount. when the arm bottoms there is 1in of clearance between the mount and the track.
i have a similar setup on a skid for grass drags and even at the drags it will hit sometimes if the track is rough and chew up a wheel.
if you run a small wheel up front, a shim kit from pioneer or larger diameter wheels and stop looking at your slides they will last for ever.
I added 2 of the stock size wheels to my 136 skid. I had to put them on the inside with stock mounts, but they work perfect. i will get some pics soon. Maxdlx

Check out Post #4.
You can't see them, but I have two small wheel kits at the bend in the rail in the front (2 outside, 2 inside), two additional wheels in the middle just slightly offset to the rear from the 4 5.5" wheels near the front, then I have another small wheel kit 1/2 way between those and the rear wheels on the outside that you can see, and there are two more in the middle just in front of those.
Mind you, all of my wheels are oversized, I don't run sliders, and I run a windowless track.
