On hard pack straight line both riders equal in weight and both sled stock. Then same 2 set of races with both sled clutched.
Race 1:
03/04 Rev 600 HO
2001/2002 SRX
Race 2:
03/04 800 Non Ho
01/02 SRX
As you may know I have sold the SRX and thinking of trying the Rev this time around. What really surprised me is on other forum how much SRX's especially 01/-02 are still being compared to the newer sleds with speed. That says a lot for how powerful the SRX's are. Funny thing is this is the 2 SRX I have bought and sold to get something else and now looking at getting another SRX instead of the Doo or F7.
Thanks

If I am looking for a sled with more hp than the SRX and weighs the same or less what would you look at? I am looking at 03's or probally 04.
Thanks

all of my buddies had 600 ski-doo's, 2 were revs, one was the style right b4 the rev came out.... the quickest of the 3 was the the older chassis but it wouldnt even come close to my machine and mine was stock back when we raced and the clutching was off. After that happened they all switched to bigger machines, 2 buying 800's and one guy bought a mach z.... the one guys 800 ho i could still beat when my machine was stock... the other 2 I have yet to race so i couldnt tell you.... If it were me I would stick with the srx

a f7 will be back and forth 1/8th mile with a srx.
If your looking for a newer sled with hp get a apex.

Race 1 is a non-race. Ride with several.
Race 2 pretty much comes down to clutching. I get my bud's 800 gade most times, unless I'm sleepin at the switch (old/senile/slow) or spin out, he has the track length advantage.

Buy this sled, have some porting, mild head work, new suspension, new ski's, and clutch it to perfection and you'll have one of the fastest most reliable sleds out there for around $5000 - I can't think of a lighter sled with more HP - an F7 would be the closest thing - the 05 to 07 Mach's would be heavier with more power - I don't think you would go wrong with an upgraded SRX!!

SRX in both races - pending of course all things equal

I spoke to the guy about the 02 and asked him to be a straight shooter on the cond. He said it is not in perfect cond. He said the biggest thing is the cowl had a repair in the front that you can hardly notice. Only way you can tell is some stress markes are showing where it was repaired. I think I will pass on this one. There has to be others out there in good cond.

What is the weight on the SRX again? If I remember correctly it is in the 400 range.
What is the weight on the Rev?
Have you ran both side by side? If so how much room does the SRX put on it?
