leaking anti freeze and powervalve cleaning?

I have a 02 sx viper. It has 6200miles on it, it was kinda startign to over heat alot at the end of the year. But after it was parked for about 2 weeks i noticed it starting to leak anti freeze. It looks to be coming out around the aater pump area? Im just wondering if this is something that happens to them, and what might it be, i was also wondering how do i clean the powervalves, they have never been clean before and im planning on doing them tomarrow if i get directiosn how to. Thanks in advance

waterpump needs a rebuild kit in it, seals and washers, common thing to go wrong on a viper. just research the powervalve cleaning on here, tons of reading, you might be done reading by x-mas.

Hello I Had The Same Problem Its The Water Pump Seal It Is A Mechanical Seal And The Anti Frezez Is Probably Coming Out Weep Hole In The Cover! I May Have The Part Number For The Seal I Will Check! Good Luck

Yup do a search on PV's,lots of good info about cleaning AND adjusting
them, very importaint too..

lol and after 6,200 miles without powervalves being cleaned... be ready to go out and buy a new set. Chances are the cables have pulled through the ends.
