the best way to get an accurate quote with shipping and tax is to go to my website, just click on the banner in my signature line, and click on the enter store icon. look for two cycle motor oils, open the drop down and click on interceptor. order what you want, quarts, gallons, barrels. ...lol..... go through the checkout process and right before it asks for your card# it will give you a price. that is how i do most of my quotes but i need addresses and phone#'s and stuff like that for shipping estimates and tax information.
it really doesn't take long to do at all. A lot less time that it took me to type this! lol.....
 
Just to add a little information here. I have been running Amsoil for quite a few years now but in the beginning I was sceptical about the whole extended drain interval thing, so I started doing (independant) oil analysis intermitantly and subsenquently pushing my sceduled changes farther and farther out because the reports would come back that the oil was still fine to go further. So I proved it to myself that at least on my vehicles I was good to go!! I typically dont put that many miles on my vehicles anymore so now I have simply started changing my oil on a yearly basis.

also i need too throw one of my experiences in. one of my best friends is very sceptical about everything and also a penny pincher. we were on a trip one day from mercer to goegebic and back. he drives a 1999 or'98 xtc 700 triple. after fouling out 3 sets of plugs and going through everyones spares. stopping all the time, changing plugs when we could be riding....lol..... i finally asked him what type of oil he is running. he smirked a little and knew wheere i was heading with this one! he said whatever he could buy at the gas station that was cheap because he wasn't wasting his money on that expensive amsoil. i told him right then and there. i have 2 extra quarts with me and i will give them too him free! we dumped them in his sled , which was almost empty, and fired it up, we were off. 3 more days of riding and he never fouled another plug! he is now a believer and a good customer! lol.... i try not to push the product on anyone but if people ask i give them as much info. as i can and if i don't know the answer i will get one as soon as possible from the amsoil reps.!

You need to explane to your costumers that not ALL cars/Trucks,etc. can
go 25,000 miles like Amsoil claims, every engine wear's out oil at different
rates, so with out doing a UOA you just don't know how well the oil is holding up and protecting.

i suggest anybody interested in extending there O/C'c to visit THIS site,i'm a regular member there and lots of good reading about oil,etc.

the member's there know there sh*t about oil, knowlagable Amsoil dealers
there too.

Daman, there is so much knowledge to explain too people about oil and types of oil that there is no way to get it all in to one thread.let alone throw all of that info. at a customer who is mearly trying to save some money. Amsoil claims 25,000 mile oil change guaranteed.i felt that just by putting some information out there for people to see, that if any questions arrised about our product they could contact me and i could give them the full run down.if someone is interested, great if not, that is fine too, some knowledge is better than none!
I have been a dealer for about 5 years now, through those years i have been reading and learning little by little when time allows me. i see that the Amsoil dealer on your website had a hard time deciding to renew his dealership.
the main purpose of this thread is too let people on the site know that, yes, i am now a paying sponsor of TY. i have been talking on and off with Tom since last winter and finally decided to get this rolling and give it a try.
from what i read in your post it seems that you are trying to send TYers to another website and another assumably more knowledgeable amsoil dealer."the member's there know there sh*t about oil, knowlagable Amsoil dealers there too."Thank you for that, it is really appreciated.

Thank you DAMAN!!! If I would have said anything about the 25000 mile claim SOMEONE would have THROWN ME off of the site AGAIN!!!!. MOST MOTORS CANNOT handle 25,000 miles between oil changes... The 1 micron oil filter has a LOT TO DO WHY!!!!!! a 1 micron oil filter will PLUG UP VERY QUICKLY if you have a motor with,,,lets say,,, 70,000 miles when you START using a synthetic oil..... If an 1 micron oil filter plugs up,, the oil pump BYPASSES the oil filter and pushes the DIRT CHUNKS right into your MAIN BEARINGS!!!!! There are OIL FILTERS CALLED "OBERG" that are used on some aircraft... the (oberg) filter uses a 1 micron reusable SCREEN and you can SPLIT the oil filter and remove the screen and see JUST HOW MUCH GARBAGE there is floating through your motor at any given time.... SYNTHETIC oils have (some of them) a VERY WELL DETAILED DETERGENT PACKAGE!!!! AMSOIL is ONE OF THEM!!!! If you have been using your automotive engine in EXCESSIVE HEAT and STOP AND GO traffic,,,, CHANCES ARE that you have some kind of SLUDGE PROBLEM.. if you START using a SYNTHETICF OIL with a SUPERIOR ADDITIVE package (like amsoil) when your car has been through a season (or more) on EXTREME DUTY,,, you are JEOPARDIZING your MAIN BEARINGS by changing to a 1 micron filter and synthetic oil!!! THERE ARE A LOT of HORROR STORIES that I can tell you about VISCOSITY temperments and oil breakdowns (mechanical) with taking peoples advice!!!! Personally,, I DO NOT RECOMMEND changing to AMSOIL or ANY SYNTHETIC OIL if you have a car or truck that has MODERATE to HIGH mileage using conventional oils!!!!!! It also depends on WHAT TYPE of conventional oil that you used... PENNZOIL is made with a different base stock that VALVOLINE and will produce DIFFERENT BYPRODUCTS!!!! ALSO REMEMBER that WATER is a byproduct of combustion and WATER ges into the oil and produces different acids that deteriorate the emollients in RUBBER.. If you wait ONE YEAR to change your oil,,, you have a BUNCH of STUFF GOING ON attacking your rubber emollients, not to mention the ALCOHOL content in your oil contaminated from the OXYGENATED FUEL that you use!!!!!! PLEASE CONTACT SOMEONE AT AMSOIL BEFORE you switch your oil over and possibly CREATE PROBLEMS!!!!!! ( I am just trying to help!!!) Gary Oles nosboy
 
ALTHOUGH a 1 micron oil filter and 5 quarts of AMSOIL will work WAY BETTER (and be cheaper too) in MOST BRAND NEW PRODUCTION engines,,, I PERSONALLY wouldnt try it on ANY 8 CYLINDER FORD motor company 302 motors.. There is an inherent problem with the return passages through the heads that TURN ANY oil into JUNK!!!! The passages are right next to exhaust ports (BIGTIME DUMB IDEA) and destroy the oil WHATEVER kind of oil that you use.. I am JUST ABOUT SURE that FOMOCO has remedied that HORRIBLE ENGINEERING ABORTION that they couldn't figure out for almost TWENTY YEARS!!!! but,,, nevertheless,,,, A DUMB IDEA!!!! So you see,,, it REALLY DOES MATTER how often you change it, how you filter it,,, and WHAT TYPE of oil that you use!!!!

thanks for the reply nosboy! was that good or bad? not really sure how to take that? what i really am having a hard time understanding is why you 2 feel the need to bash someone elses business especially a paying sponsor of this site?
kind of like if you were a car salesman trying to sell chevrolet and you were a paying sponsor! well, i am not paying to advertise but i am a ford mechanic and i know my way around a ford like no one else! i look at your post and decide to let the entire website know my opinion of chevrolet and try my best to convince them not to buy your car because i know that a ford is better! a lot of people would believe what i printed because i used all kinds of crazy capitol letters and exclamation points, just to try to get my point across.
not everyone agrees with everything! i believe it is a great product! i have used the 25,000 mile intervals and just sold my 1992 chevy truck with 189,000 miles on it. because you and daman do not believe in our product really does not give you the right to come on to my post and voice your supposed truths? you believe what you want and us at amsoil believe what has been proven and we GUARANTEE it!
if you disagree, please try to be cool about it!
 
I am TRYING to open peoples eyes and I AM NOT trying to voice personal opinions.. I have a BS in Chemical engineering and I have done EXTENSIVE labs on AMSOIL and ESTERLUBE and a BUNCH of conventional motor oils... I KNOW more about oil than 99% of the people on this website.. It is NOT MY OPINION on what I am telling you guys and THERE are LAB after LAB proving this stuff I am telling you.... TOM,,, I thought ( by the explanation on MYSPACE) that this website (ty) is to HELP people... I am trying to BUST THE MYTHS and EXPLAIN to people what is REALLY going on with PEOPLE WHO ADVERTISE things that are NOT NECESSarily TRUE!!!!! MYTHS you may call them,, but I choose to call them LIES!!!! I thought you WANT to tell people that changing over to SYNTHETIC OIL (WHATEVER BRAND) and adding a 1 micron filter WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS MORESO THAN NOT!!!! I think people should be aware of that???????? DONT YOU???????
 
MOST motors CANNOT handle the changeover from conventional oil (for the last 60,000 miles) to a 1 micron oil filter and synthetic oil..... I
ll try and explain it a HUNDRED different ways if you prefer!!! THEre a LOT of companies (synthetic oil manufacturers) that jump on the "band wagon" and advertise "25,000 thru 35,000" miles between oil changes... I can give you a DOZEN REASONS why it is a BAD IDEA... Reasons from the API and the SAE ( societies who "regulate" motor oils).. I do NOT MAKE this stuff up!!!
 
for the record.. I NEVER DID SAY that I DID NOT believe in AMSOIL (or your product).. for the record,,, I BELIEVE in SYNTHETIC OIL 100% I use synthetic oil and synthetic base stocks WHENEVER POSSIBLE!!!! I am a BIG ADVOCATE of synthetic lubricants!!!! I PERSONALLY THINK AMSOIL is a FANTASTIC product and I would RECOMMEND it to ANYONE!!!! I have a problem with people that "bragg" that something does what it DOESNT,,, Thats why I get so perturbed when I SEE it ADVERTISED!!!!!
 
So let me get this right you know everything about oil, Nitrous, how to keep people safe from bad vendors, how I should run my site.... am I missing anything. Funny how we have differences of opinions here but I don't jump down a vendors throat just because I had a bad experience or I know more or whatever... I am not sure what make your business run but I do the best my best to take care of the people that keep this site alive....

We use Amzoil in everything we run, my little bro is a dealer as well, dont find anything wrong with it, there for I would buy it and recommend other to do so as well.

Your credibility in my book is nothing.... as I have gained nothing from your posts. Now if I am wrong lets hear what other users have gained from you!!!!

How do you like that for my opinion or should I say its the facts!!!
