Hey all, there is a guy I know who wants my viper and said he would trade it on his attak...

He said I wouldn't have to pay him any extra, trade for trade, stock for stock...

What do you guys think I should do?

His Attak is like new, studded track (I was thinking of changing the track and getting an 1,5 or 1,75 inch track though)

And he wants my viper stock..so that means I can take my SLP pipes off, off with the clutch kit, mpi transfer enhancement kit, etc..

In my position would you trade the viper and grab that attak?

Thanks, JM

Id do it just to turn around and sell it, youd almost double your money. I wouldnt keep it to ride, Im 2 smoke all the way. VMAX4 800 will be the next Yami in my collection(not for a while..lol) but Ill have all 3 riding conditions covered.
Experted Viper-Rough Trail
01 SRX- Groomed Trail
VMAX800- Lake

VS. Having 1 4stroke and POSSIBILY 1 2smoke to go along with it. Like I always say the more toys the better, who cares how new it is.... I know I dont, as long as it hauls a$$ Im all smiles.

But I agree with everyone else sounds to good to be true.

Trade him, you won't regret it. I too was die hard 2 stroke, but I love my warrior. Maxdlx

Your kidding right? Trade a $3k sled for a 7K one, is his damaged or anything? Sounds way to good to be true.

+1 trade it and then sell the Attak,I had a 06 Apex and will never buy another 4-stroke again,2-strokes all the way.

I would look closely before I did a trade(to good of a deal) although, those new yami's are really nice sleds. And if you don't like it, it is a perfect time to buy another 2 stroke.

Yeah it does seem to good to be true, but I know the guy pretty well and he's a 2 stroke guy and wants to get back on one...his attak is in mint condition, really nice sled, just like new...

Yeah it's weird, I don't see why he'll trade stock for stock...especially since my viper is only worth 5800 clean in the blue book and his is worth like 9000 to 10 000 haha...

So yes it does seem to good to be true, but it couldn't be closer to the truth, he wants mines! And I am considering trading it...

I have zero experience with 4 strokes and was wondering if his attak was heavier, also wondering if his 136 attak would out perform my piped viper on the hills...can anyone tell me how these 2 compare??

My dad also just bought a nitro for himself, so I'll get to drive that around this winter when I am out of gas or just want to take her out for fun, hehe..

So basically in my position what would yall do? You have the choice between:

1. Keeping the viper and also getting to ride a 2006 nitro around this winter
2. Trading the viper on the attak and getting to drive it and the nitro around..

3.Trading and selling the attak and getting something else...Trading it on a new one is not really an option...no cash and dad doesn't want to chip in what so ever...can't blame him haha

Thanks guys...JM

I vote #3

Trade, sell(Attak), then buy a 00-02 SRX OR Viper and put the profit $3000-$4000(pending what you send on a sled) into whatever USED sled you chose. Youd have 1 bad 2stroke putting that kinda cash into it. OR keep some of the profit for something else. and spend a little bit it on it.

Thats what I would do if I had an opportunity like that.

No don't make the trade, keep your Viper!!

So ummmm......what did you say his name and phone number was? :D

Lmao...damn that was good...

But here's the thing, if I trade with him, dad will never let me buy another viper..he'll be all like: Ok you traded the viper on an attak, sold it and bought another one...

Come to think of it, that's pretty damn dumb...my Viper is already well modded, I don't need to do any more mods to it, seriously the hills here aren't the hardest things to climb, there's like no steep and high mtns here...and I'm no pro at this neither...I climb, I jump and I love to ride in deep powder even though we don't see it very often...

So yeah my viper has NO trouble climbing any hills around here, she's a real beast...

I wanted to get an FX Nytro, but Dad doesn't want too...

Maybe I'll just keep my viper then...JM

It's too bad there isn't snow on the ground so you could take it for spin and see how you like it, it would kinda suck if you end up wishing you had kept the Viper. Still, sure seems like one heck of a good deal!!
My brother has an 05' RX1 and we swap sleds all the time, granted I haven't spent much time on a Viper so I can't say what they are like but I know I'd trade my SRX on for the RX1 in a flash and the Attak is even nicer still.

You are completely insaine if you don't trade. The sled is worth over $2000 more then the one you are riding. You would go from riding a sled that involves motor mainance to a sled thats first valve check is 20000 miles. Not only that, but the sled gets atleast twice the mileage and probilily would stay right with your viper in a race. If you don't like it you could trade it at any moment. I am not saying that i don't like 2 strokes, I am just saying that a sled with 150hp that is fuel injected and is considerably newer then your current one. I ride an apex from time to time and I would trade it for any 2 stroke one the marked in a blink. It is well worth the shot. And if your dads says that you can't sell it tell him that it is a buisness venture and it is in your best interest.

Oh that is just my opinion AND ABOUT 90% OF THE PEOPLE YOU ARE GOING TO TALK TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think its the guys own stupidity to even think of making a STRAIGHT UP trade like that without $$$$ involved. Just look at the value diff. between the 2 sleds, your talking way more than a $2000 diff. Now if the guy had somewhat smarts hed SELL it(attak) THEN search for a Viper and bank some of his money back, instead of lossing massively.

too good to be true. either the guy is an idiot, or something sucks about that attak.. my $.02

Nothing wrong with the attak haha, he did have some bad luck, like for example, one time he was suppose to go on a big trip and then she wouldn't start....all that needed be done was to put oil in the plugs or some kinda bull, there was a little detail problem, anyway he screwed up his whole trip...this happened to him twice...it was just bad luck really...

I talked to the mechanic who serviced her and he said she's in awesome shape...the dealer who sold it to him told me to jump on that trade as well..

The guy doesn't like his attak because of the bad luck he had and said if he had a 2 stroke all he would of had to do was to lift up the hood, change the plugs, whatever, and he said if your battery fails you have a chord...lol

So that's the way he sees it..I myself love Yamaha 4 strokes, but nothing wrong with my viper...

If my piped viper raced his attak going up a hill...who would get their first? and who would get the furthest in deep powder???

Thanks guys, JM
