what is the tollerance for srx piston wear before to replace them ?? can find the old thread about it ...

I saw your pics. You probably need to rehone your cylinder(s) With the crosshatching gone the cylinders get glazed & the rings can,t seal properly. It doesn,t look like a piston clearence issue to me.

piston size standard is 68.944 to 68.947 mm (2.7143- 2.7144 in)

so anything under 68.944 is under spec. they don't allow much..

thnx turk .... do u think i can hone my cylinder and can still use my old rings from last years or need to buy a new set again ... maybe 300 mile on those new rings
