New to me

Thanks for the info guys. So it not just to help in freezing temp but from snow dust too, makes sense.

I'm heading over to Yamaha's website to read the whole manual . I don't have the sled yet but just eager to know as much as I can.

There is lots of programs out there to unlock pdf's. But the easiest way I find is going to this link and just browse to your pdf and it will upload it and unlock. No install needed and you'll be able to print it no problem.

Around here the carb heaters don't get used much. Now since mine have been off so long I am not sure they will still turn. The Viper is worse than my SX600Triple.

Your welcome. I might not know much about sleds but I work in informatics so computers are second nature to me.

The manual says to make sure the knob is in the ON position if the ambient temperature is below O Celsius (32F). This number is way more conservative than you guys experience. They probably recommend that number simply because of freezing point.

What is the symptom of a freezing carburetor? Missing or bogging?

yea yamaha is very conservative on the temp to use it, and yes thoes are
some symtoms..
