PILOT JETS in the carb are plugged and the KEYSWITCH creates a ground when you want to kill it.. just as a kill switch creates a ground!!!// You'd have to figure it out yourself from there!!!

Cool. It sounds easy enough to (hopefully) get it running correctly. Thanks.
An insurance policy for a new sled costs more than this entire sled. However I dont think the 87 phazer will get quite as far in the deep as a new sled, but somehow the cheap old ones are just as, if not more, fun than a fancy new one.

yeah I hear ya,
sometimes I like to take the old 87 indy trail out and just beat the snot out of it.
then again i did mod the trail a bit to get it to perform like i wanted it to.
it needed a rebuild anyway, so I had it bored out, installed wiseco prolites, then I tried a DG pipe, but while at the dyno, we found that the stock pipe made more power everywhere but the top couple hundred rpm, so a stock pipe went back on.
So the trail got a custom clutch kit setup, and it had gas shocks all around from before.
for a light sled, that motor/ clutch combo really woke it up. and like the 400 dollar phazer, you can ride the crap out of it
