Does anybody know if a pair of srx ski's will just bolt on to a 1997 vmax 600?? Really looking to get a way from the metal ski's and skins.

Thanks

SXR and GYTR skis have a higher saddle and will set your front end at the right height; viper skis will fit but your front end will sit lower.

1) Plastic GYT skis with thick cast aluminum shoe. A direct replacement for the steel:

2) Plastic ski with Stamped aluminum shoe. The bolt hole in these style of skis is approx. 1" shorter than the steel/gyt. Meaning the sled will sit 1 " lower. These are for long spindle trailing arms. Deep keels and short keels were available for this ski.

And these are the last generation long spindle / a-arm ski which is saddless:

One note is that if you're buying used skis - make sure all the hardware comes with them as it's not cheap. Not so much the bolt or the bumper but all the little bushings that are in them for the spindle bolt to run thru and the wear rods.

You'll need new bolts to use the saddless skis for sure, I'm not 100% sure about the other ones I have pics of.
