well i pulled the topend of my srx to send to mr viper for porting....tell me what you guys think of these pistons....i am jetted 152.5 152.5 and 155....my sled is runnin cold air intake and gutted airbox...to me these look rich...what do you guys think??

i would replace those bad boys and up your jetting
not sure they are lean but i think they have alots of idlling ...about blow by they are not that bad but they leak a little

they "look" worn on the skirts, would need to measure them from 10mm up from bottom of skirt to be sure, because all i can do is see the pic, but usually when they are all smooth and dull looking in the circular spot like yours are, they will be under spec.

IMO they look rich(how'd your plugs look?), and yes make sure you Mic 'em out, you may need pistons too.

plugs always seem to look on the dark side...well measured the pistons and i think im getting between 3-5 thous wear between the 3 according to shop manual....as for kms on them lets just say above 13,000...figured its time

NO DOUBT BLOW BY THERE. HARD TO SAY ON TOPS. WOULD LIKE CLOSER LOOK. WHAT I WOULD OF LIKE TO SEEN WAS THAT CARBON IN MIDDLE AND THAN CHANGEING TO LITE BROWN GOING OUT TOWARDS EDGES. DON WILL GIVE YA JET SPEC WITH YOUR NEW MOTOR. 3:16 (yammie tony)

i have always run shell advance non syn for the last 10,000 kms or so pv's seem to be carboned up every year...

THATS MY THOUGHT TO MAGIC. THAT CENTER PISTON WITH CARBON IN CENTER GOING TO LITE BROWN TOWARDS EDGES WAS ALWAYS NICE. SO JUST A GUESS, BLOW BY, LEAN READING ON TOPS MEANS ALOT OF WOT RUNS ACROSS THOSE LONG LAKES. RIGHT CHEVY !! lol. 3:16 (yammie tony)
