Shocks?

Can someone tell me the difference between part # 8CV 47480 00 00 and 8FB 47480 00 00 ? Can I use the 8FB in place of the 8CV. I tried to find out but I cant seem to find the specs. Help.
 
The 8CV are from the rear skid of a 97 700 sx The 8FB from a Viper (03 I believe)
 
viper shocks are long travel; you need longer transfer rods and longer limiter straps to use them in an SX.

The 03 Viper shocks with the part # you gave are the same as the 02 Viper shocks and will give a little firmer ride than say XTC or 2003 Viper ER shocks (which were also used for the revalve on the 02s when some said they were valved too stiff....)
 
So along with the shocks I would also need Viper transfer rods and limiter straps? Thanks for the help.
