01 SRX pulling to the right on take off

I'm having a hard time understanding that... I can't get my head around the comparison to that of a skid steer on the ice for example. If both sides are turning at an equal rate, but the right side tires are getting more traction, the skid-steer's going to go to the left... with the sled turning to the right on take off, would that not mean that the left side of the track is getting more traction pushing the sled to the right? Shouldn't the side with more traction overpower the side with less traction, causing it to steer towards the side with less traction?

I'm not arguing because I know mrviper700 knows his stuff when it comes to this... I just can't get it in my head. Like Bluewho said it seems backwards to me. Help me understand this better please.
