My friend is good but his knoweldge is superior when you bring to him some bombardier

East side mtl to east side ott...2 1/2 or so...qc plates 2 hrs, ont plates 2-3 hrs LoL...that to bad, cause i would help you out...now that you said you have a ski-doo mech working on it, i would watch him closely cause that my be your competition out on the lake... :rofl: i'm sure he will help you out, he has the basic just a different sled...
 
Well how did it do for you, got all your parts...how is it running now...what was the cause....
 
looks like a piece of ring flew off as your piston was melting away... probably stated somewhere above but reguardless. I would want to figure out what caused this. I learned something new the other night. I dont know what cylinder that you have went down from the pictures but if its your center CYL. a leak in the fuel pulse line or pump can cause this very easily. I did see the part where you said you replaced crank seals last year. If it were to PTO or MAG that went down I would suggest if something wasnt put on correctly or possible seal damage during the install. Improper jetting for the temps, lean needle setting or plugged main jet will scrap any piston in any cylinder.

Do you have a tempa-blow on this sled? Have seen many people scrap a piston over time with improper procedures while riding due to the altered settings the tempa blow creates on carburation.
