LARRY, FIRST STOCK MAIN JETS ARE 141.3. JETS ARE NOT CAUSEING THIS. SECOND IF HE HAS FUEL COMING OUT THE EXHAUST, NOTE : DO NOT ATTEMPT TO START THIS SNOWMOBILE. THIS COULD BE THE FIRST VMAX 4 LAUNCHED TO THE MOON. RIGHT OFF MY HEAD YOU HAVE A CARB ISSUE. POSSIBLEY A STUCK FLOAT. SECOND YOU POSSIBLEY HAVE A FUEL PUMP ISSUE. !! 3:16 (yammie tony)

how about the choke plungers?? can you push them back some when the cable is relaesed? if they dont seat back and seal off the passage they run pig rich, a little makes a big differance here.

Carb Issue

Larry, I had a Vmax 600 and had worn out needle seats alowed fuel straight through the motor and out the exhaust. Good luck enjoying the snowfall, Nice to see all the snow! Sucks shoveling, Had the Viper out for a spin, Rides like a pillow in 14 " of snow, Not stiff at all!

i havent had the srx out yet but the nytro liked the fluffy stuff. right now im stuck out of town on a seminar. dosen't that figure the first snowfall and im only around for the clean up of it.

Is this problem happening on all the cylinders? If not wich ones?

This type of problem could be caused by the crank turing on it's internal PTO drive gear. If that happens the # 3&4 cylinders (the 2 on the recoil side) will be running late and cause the 3-4 plugs to floul and slobber black out the pipe. If this problem came on quickly, and it's only the 3-4 cylinders I would index the crank just to make sure it's OK before I messed with anything else. If it is the crank nothing will fix it other than a total teardown and sending out the crank for indexing and welding.

had a v-4 that craped the feul pump and after sitting awile would flood the engine so bad you would have to pull the plugs and give her a couple hard pulls to clear it out, eventually it burned down cause= bad feul pump
