I picked up a Club Car golf cart for $500 and I decided to build it into a monster cart for the kids (and Myself) for Christmas. I installed a Jakes 10" coil over/twin a-arm front suspension and put heavy duty leafs/ lift blocks and some huge shackles I fabricated on the rear. I painted the body with a maroon spray on truck bedliner. I put headlights/tail lights in it and built the light bar with over head lights. It has new seats front and rear (the rear seat flips down to expose an aluminum diamond plate cargo bed). It has a carbon fiber look dash with a Pioneer stereo/cd player and a aftermarket steering wheel. And finally I put a set on 23x10.5x12 wheels and tires on it. The floor is 24" off the ground, the seat height is 41" and its 81" to the top of the lights (it barely fits in the garage!!!!).

I still need to make speaker covers for the underside of the floor pan. I want to build a set of nerf bars for it as well. And the big upgrade is going to be a 16 HP B&S Vanguard engine that I picked up for $50. I'm going to put a cam and a high rev kit in the engine and install it this spring. The engine should be good for about 30 HP when its done and it should move the cart 40+ MPH.

Its been a pretty fun project so far.

Also...check out all the fresh snow that has fallen in the last week or so!!!!

Gonna have to watch the kids closely on that thing. Being that tall it might be a bit top heavy. Just wouldn't want them to roll it over! :)

I've tested it for roll over...I couldn't even get it on 2 wheels!!

ya know a 300 enticer twin fan cooled engine sure would be neat on that thing!

i put a 433 fan in an old golf car once but there was a lot of fabing as the snowmobile engine actualy turned the opposite direction as the old two stroke engine it replaced. They would reverse the polarity of the starter and actualy run the engine backwards to back up on the old two stroke golf carts the project i did i had to cut the area were the golf bags went out and mount the engine on top of the rear axle instead of under the seat to get it to turn the right direction even with it this way it still wouldn't hook up but was a lot of fun in the sand.

i have a stock EZGo with a two stroke and I took the governor off of it and it does about 35 mph - I'm guessing that thing will go 55 or 60 mph with a 30hp motor.

With a stock 16 HP engine I'm told it will run around 40. With a stock 23 hp B&S I hear it will run in the 50's.

great looking cart

I also have a club cart i put a kaw. zx 11 motor in it at first but it was just to dangerous i ran it on the radar at 110 mph so i pulled it out and put a polaris 500 four wheeler motor in it not works great
