2001 Mountain Max Question

I have a 141" track and wondering if a change the rear wheels to a bigger diameter 8"-9" if i could swap to a 144" track?

I raises the axle up about 1/2". Plus I don't think it would take up the extra track. Just get a set of rail extensions and bump it up to a 151 and be done.

Then think about it, is it really worth the effort to go to a 144. 3" longer but only about 1" - 1 1/2" bigger footprint. If you do anything, go 151"

Formula:
144-141=3" Divided half (it is a circle)= 1 and 1/2". An offset axle equates to moving 1 and 1/2" turned backwards.

Don't know if I explained myself well. To compensate for the larger wheels, you have to move the axle center up and forward. By installing the offset axle backwards, you move the axle center up and back, taking up the 1 and 1/2" gain of the 144" track. Understand??
So yes you can go from 141 to 144 by using larger wheels and an offset axle, install backwards.
