Slow 99 SRX

Last year I ran mrviper heel clicker set up I ran 113mph on the radar but it would not pull rpm. So I lined up the motor and the deflection with a new belt, and fresh bushings and buttons. went out wit same clutching setup and would get 119-120 mph on the radar.

BadAzz, youre sayin youve changed both primary and secondary clutches... Is it because the jackshaft bearing failed? I just had the same problem on my 99' SRX. The two clutches have hit and I had to change both and I think the guy who worked on my sled did not placed the bearing exactly at the original position. Since I had my sled back, I loss a LOT of speed and RPM doesn't goes past 8000, no matter which weight I use. Besides my YPVS are well adjusted and compression is good on all cylinders. I just sent it to the dealer to realign the clutches I'll keep you up to date on that. Sounds that we have the same problem...

The jackshaft didn't fail, when the previous owner put another track in it just before I bought it he put a new bearing in it. I had the primary rebuilt by the dealer about 400 miles ago (new buttons and bushing). The secondary came from an 03 RX-1 with 500 miles on it. I don't belive the clutch alignment has been checked for several thousand miles, but it does pull 84-8600 RPM's depending on trail conditions. I gotta see about getting it checked.

I got my leakdown tester, but I need to make some plates to block off the exhaust ports before I can use it. I'm going to do that as soon as I can. Let me know how you make out.
