I've decided to sell my 01 Mustang GT, ended up listing it on ebay tonight. I could try more locally, but it's pretty hard to sell a car like a mustang around here when the snow is flying..:o| not exactly a winter car, I nearly got stuck in my driveway the other day, then I got a little sideways in the parking lot the same day..haha..
Anyhow I'd like to get it sold, the V8 likes gas..alot...haha...and I have other vehicles, wouldn't mind some extra money. :cool:

yeah its stock, but I do like it.

not enough to buy it though.


I sold my last one, a 92 silver lx 5.0 factory leather interior convertible just this fall.

I may buy another stang in spring, but it would probably either be a 96-98 cobra hardtop, or any 99+ cobra, or a 05+ gt.

but I have been very keen on V8 powered 98-03 bmw 540's or m5's. At least the 4 door supercar would be a tad more practical than a 2 door stang. I have seen several 70k mileage m5's in that style for low 20k's, and the 4.4l v8 540's for 20k tops with low miles.


Once you get into October in the snow belt, cars like v8 mustangs are hard to sell.

I sold my last mustang in 78. 1968 coupe with a rebuilt 351, C6 trans, fresh paint and new seats/fresh interior. About brings a tear to my eye every time I think of it. One of them dark moments in a guys life that you try to block out.

Yours looks nice, but I have been looking at a 65 for about the same cash as yours. I would drive a mustang year round, even the 65 if I end up buying it. But I don't drive much, only when I have to. Guess that will change when my daughter graduates and leaves home though.

Sold mine this past spring: 1998 Cobra. Had it 8 years and put a whopping 4,000 miles on it. I'll be kicking myself years from now.

Im more into riceburners, but Mustangs are cool. My parents have 3 Mustangs: a '67 GTA Fastback with a 390 V8 in it, a '68 coupe with a 302 in it and a '68 convertable with a 302 and 3-speed manual transmission.
I personally like the Mustangs from the '60s much better than the newer ones.
Granted, Id take a Toyota Supra, Toyota Celica, Toyota MR-2 or Nissan Skyline any day over any Mustang (or any other musclecar), but Mustangs are cool.

Nice car. I am more into the fox bodies. I have an 86/82. Its and 86 lx hatch, But i have an 82 GT front clip on it.

I tried the ricers, Kind of fond of the AWD talon TSi's they are just stupid fast and the possibilities are endless. The configuration I had should have been good for 13s. Never had it on a track though, daily driver. I am ready to move out of the jeep and back to a car. I really think a mustang would work for me.

Then you will like this one which isn't going anywhere. 92' LX 5.0: 24,000 miles and stock right down to the original Good Years.

Thank you! I bleed two kinds of blue. We do currently have a Mazda 3 in the drive, but it does say FoMoCo on the dip stick!

No mods other than a Mac cat back that was put on because the factory system rotted out. It will stay this way since a box stock LX is becoming quite rare and starting to hold some decent value. We got this one in 99' from the first owner who actually drove it everyday. He a was a fanatic about maintaining it and keeping it clean. Tried to buy at least three different deep jewel green LX 5.0's whe I got out of high school, so this one isn't getting away. The 98' was a fun car, but once the factory blower cars (03'-04') came out it just didn't have as much alure. I miss it, but I would still rather have an 03'-04' SVT over the 98'.
 
very nice. The terminators are also very nice cars. But I prefer the fox chassis stangs best. My 86 lx will have a 351w when i am done restoring it. Being 17 and starting my apprenticeship, I dont work on it everyday. Although i would love to, But when ever its done it'll be nice.

The beauty of the Fox cars is that human beings can work on them. The modular cars, and specifically the DOHC cars are nightmares for the average joe to wrench on in the home garage. I'm just talking the powerplant. I did all kinds of suspension and drivetrain stuff on my 98' but touching that engine was a joke. The LX will stay stock in hopes of having something of value in 30 years.
 
For sure, that thing will be worth tons in 30 years. But true about the DOHC. they are crazy to work on. But the cobras are very nice cars. I would mind having one just for the purpose of putting a Kenne Bell SC on it.
