I paid $1800 last year for a 95, so I would say he's in the ballpark. I'd offer him $2000. He'll probably take $2200.
I also think 97's were limited production so he may not budge much if he knows what he's got.

^ same!
Those are nice sleds. We owned one. A 97 vmax 4 800- with PSI quads, roller rooster clutch. It was GrEAT.

$2500 is not a bad price for a low production 1997 Vmax-4,
anything lower and you got yourself a real nice deal.

Dude got here a little late around 8:30pm but the wait was worth it,this thing looks brand new i'm not kidding, runs awesome, pulls over pretty easy for a 4 cylinder i was surprised, anyway here's some quick pics i took of her after running her in the garage for the night.
i did notice the windy is not stock, got a gay tall one on it, l'ii be looking for the stock low black one to get that back to original
motor looks spotless like it did from 1997
not a spot of rust anywhere on the pipes
cyl's very very clean

foot rest's are spotless paint not wore off any place, just like new.
Only 1,100 easy miles on her!!!!!!!!
got the owners manual(doesn't look like it's even been looked at) some jets(looks like OEM stuff from the dealer?)
and the original product ID.(anyone know what number off the assembly line this one is?)
and the ad i tore from the paper
the guy i bought it from bought it from the original owner, when he got it
it only had 900ish miles on it, so this guy said he didn't put to many miles on
her, he didn't really like sledd'en he said..
i hit the jack pot on this one, the dude didn't know what he had...lol
I got a total of $2,050 dollars into it,Damn it's good to be me..lol

You can say that again! That sled is so clean!!! After little TLC it´s just too good LOL
When it was ridden last time? I would suggest that you change oil to chain drive + primary driven gear etc. You probably know all of this allready.
