1997 V-max 4 800 SCORE!!!!!!

Found one in the local paper :ban:..says low miles good cond. $2500obo.

would love to add one to the stable what would be a fair price to offer this guy?, no B.S, what are these worth i know there rare.

I paid $1800 last year for a 95, so I would say he's in the ballpark. I'd offer him $2000. He'll probably take $2200.

I also think 97's were limited production so he may not budge much if he knows what he's got.

Those are nice sleds. We owned one. A 97 vmax 4 800- with PSI quads, roller rooster clutch. It was GrEAT.
 
Yea i'm hoping he dosent know what he's got,i've seen a few this year i found a '96 for 1500 or best and a '95 for 1500 also,was thinking offering around 1800 see if he'll bite.
 
Well she's a done deal just got off the phone with the guy and i bought her sight un seen, she's MINT all original 100% stock(how i like 'em) with ONLY 1,100 miles!!!!..LOL!!! he took $2,000 dollars for it and he will deliver it too for me for $50(gas), she'll be here tonight @ 7-8 clock.

of course i'll have pics...

the stable's getting bigger, haven't told the wife yet..lol :hide:

^ LMAO. My day went fast. But if I had such a SWEET coming i bet it would have went slow. Get LOTS! of pictures too.
 
Oh i do know it. I have one with 1100 KM also! But it wasnt stock. It deserves to be ridden! gently of course!
 
Dude got here a little late around 8:30pm but the wait was worth it,this thing looks brand new i'm not kidding,runs awesome,pulls over pretty easy for a 4 cylinder i was surprised, anyway here's some quick pics i took of her after running her in the garage for the night.

i did notice the windy is not stock,got a gay tall one on it, l'ii be looking for the stock low black one to get that back to original

the guy i bought it from bought it from the original owner, when he got it
it only had 900ish miles on it, so this guy said he didn't put to many miles on
her, he didn't really like sledd'en he said..

i hit the jack pot on this one, the dude didn't know what he had...lol

I got a total of $2,050 dollars into it,Damn it's good to be me..lol

You can say that again! That sled is so clean!!! After little TLC it´s just too good LOL

When it was ridden last time? I would suggest that you change oil to chain drive + primary driven gear etc. You probably know all of this allready.

Looks great. Just like our old one (but without the pipes and mods). You robbed that poor guy! LOL. Yeah that windy needs to come off. have fun with her

Thanks Ike, yea the sled has not been run at all this year,last he said was the biggining of last year when he put on the hundred or so miles then put it up,didn't ride it again...lol

yup going to be going right through her this week, never owend a big max before so it's kinda new to me,but i'll hit all the bases you can count on that,i'm gently thumbing through the O/M seeing what info i can gather there.

anybody know if a yammie service manual exists for this guy?
