79' srx 440 comet clutching

I got a comet 102c for my srx440. how many shims behind the spider? it came of a sled with a wider belt by the looks of it. what spring color and cams should i have in it? sled is stock. what engagement and shift rpm should it run when right?
 
RUN N-1 WEIGHTS. GET THIS SPRING I THINK IT REPLACED THE YELLOW COMET SPRING. THIS ONE IS PURPLE. PART # IS 207758. NOW YOUR ENGAGEMENT SHOULD BE AROUND 5000. IF YA WANT IT HIGHER WHICH I ALWAYS LIKED 5500, YOU WILL NEED 1 SHIM AND A ENGAGEMENT NOTCH IN THESE WEIGHTS. SHIFT RPM IS 9000. 3:16 (yammie tony)

i tryed the clutch with A3 cams and a green/yellow spring. it has 4 shims behind spider. engaged at 5600/6000. I didn't try to shift it out around the yard. How do you make your notches in your cams?
 
A3 WITH THE GREEN YELLOW WILL WORK IF THIS IS A MOD. BEING THE SPYDER IS SHIMED SOUNDS LIKE IT IS TO RUN WIDER BELTS. AND AROUND THE YARD WON,T TELL YA SHIFT UNLESS YOUR YARD IS 750 F.T. !! 3:16 (yammie tony)
 
i have some F cams, they have a foot on them, i think to stop the movable sheave from opening up for the narrow belt???? there heavier & would bring the shift rpm to a safer stock setting with the yellow/green spring, YES/NO???

I did some digging to see what sled the clutch came from. Looks like a A/C 440 spirit. So I have the A-3 weights and Yel/Grn spring. I ran it sunday and it ran 5600 engage and 9000 shift. Now,if I take 2 shims out from behind the spider, that will adjust for the narrow belt and bring the engage rpms down.

Well, I'm just getting on base to start from. It definately flies, it gave me the oH$hit feeling when the skis wanted to come over zinging across the field the other day. I'm pumped with this sled so far. I remember my 600 triple/triple, and this SRX makes that polaris a pooch!!!!. HOLY CRAP!!!!!!! I want to get some picks and skags on this monster next. I want to go Left. That way I don't catch a stump or something stupid to total it.
