hook up the fuel lines to carbs, hook everything but the airbox back up, then take a rag and a blow gun, stick the rag over the top of the gastank with cap off, while applying some air to the tank, do this for a few seconds, youll see the tank swell slightly and then let it go back down, you should also hear it hiss from the tank vent on the clutch side footwell, (make sure the vent is open and hissing)if it does all this, I bet it will start right up, because you will have primed the system. try it and see.

yup...you're right.....and I also had to remove the airbox, and cap the ends of the carbs with my hand while a buddy turned it over.
I did purge the entire fuel pump and the lines, and made sure it was 100% fresh gas too...just to rule out everything...took a few pulls to get everything primed..but like I said, covered the ends of the carbs with my hand, and pow....jesis how I missed that sound....lol
threw the airbox back on, and tried er again, first pull.
now I need to bleed the coolant. If I only removed maybe 1/2 of the coolant, will i still need to remove the seat, and open the bleeder?
Thanks for all the help!

so she lit?
Your welcome Chilli, glad its running, its basicly a process of elimination.
just add the coolant and let it idle for a bit with the cap off, if you only drained out a little bit it wont airlock the coolant, a srx has a airbleed built right in the thermostat to pass some air/coolant even if the thermostat isnt open, it should be just fine.

sweet, so I'll let it run for a bit, and make sure the coolers are getting hot....if they're hot, I guess that means she's circulating?
Cant wait til tomorrow, I just repainted all my grills and windshield, and waxed the hood. Just need to put the hood back on, and hse's ready to fly...
We have more snow now, than we did all last winter, and with really cold nights in the forcast, Ice will be getting thick! This could be the winter we've been waiting for!
