can some one tell me why my 81 srx with a 540 motor is no top end(due to clutching), and a low end engine bog? i know that is vague so here more info...
it tops out at about 55-60 at 7000rpm, with a light purple comet spring and two shims, the secondary is wound at c-2
have have stock vmax jetting with the excepting of 3.0 slides...
the change of slides took the idle from 1500(2.5's) to 3000(3.0's) and it also seemed to help it get out of the hoel better....
i was wonder what the 81 chaincase will do with the 540 clutching... is the gear in a 81 higher or lower than the 540's?
