94' Vmax speedometer

I just purchased a 94 vmax 500 with what appears to be 2800 miles. My father picked it up for me and tells me the sled runs well but the speedometer doesnt work. He does say the odometer and tach both work. Anyone have any ideas as to where I should start trouble shooting it? Thanks for all your help in advance.

sounds like the speedo bad if the milege goes up it must be in the speedo head if you need on ive got one

If the odometer is working the drive cable is good,must be in the speedo it's
self then..
