New member first post.
Just signed up last week and was able to clean my carbs (first for me) thanks to the awsome instructions from this sight. Also did the reed stopper notch and my '00 700 SX-r runs like new.
Now onto clutching which i know nothing about. 5000 miles and nothing has been done to the clutches. Engagement is good but tops at about 9000 RPM.
Whay should the RPM be ? What is probably worn out ?
I will check for replys after Christmas. Thanks !!

Not very hard, but you would need a primary Clutch puller....STILLCRAZY said:Wow ! that was fast. Is that easy to replace ?

You can do it without a clutch puller but it's a pain in the butt to change that stuff while it's still on the sled IMO.

I've never pulled my clutch and I've changed springs and weights several times. I'm sure it would be easier with it off but I don't have a problem with it on.
