which oil is best to prevent dirty powervalves. I use yamalube and I clean the valves once a year. Also what are the benefits,if any of using synthetic?

Not another "Which oil is best" thread . . .
I also would like to know the answer to that question.
However . . .
The problem is that very few of us have the time, sleds, or money to conduct a fair and un-biased comparison of any significant number of products under even slightly controlled circumstances. Unfortunately, all we can do is try a few different oils over the course of several years, and usually across different sleds. We each form our opinions based upon this quite limited "test". Each of us usually find one that seems to work good, and is within our budget, and then we stick with it. After that we defend our choice, whatever it is, quite fiercly.

"This is my own preferance" I used a lot of oils but I like schaffer oil keeps powervalves clean and when you pull the engine apart there is a thin film on everything.

For all around performance and reliability, Amsoil. I've been using alot of their products for years. They've just release a power valve injector oil, which isn't any more expensive than the regular stuff! www.amsoil.com

VMJ, I just got a case of the new Amsoil Interceptor from a friend. I installed a CD player in his truck and he gave me a 4 gallon case of the new Interceptor oil (nice trade). As you might know, I have been running series 2000 for 2 years since I did the single gasket upgrade. Well, this year I went back to stock gaskets (for a test on the triple pipes) and I don't need the 2000. I ran the other baseline Amsoil 3 years ago to start with it was 18.00 a gallon. The new Interceptor is 26.00 a gallon and the Series 2000 was 32.00 a gallon. I like the smell of the new stuff in the jug. I have the motor on the bench right now so, I have to wait and see how it burns. Doug

The oil that i have had good luck with is shell advance full synthetic my power valves stay really clean as to compare to using yamalube like night and day difference

Can Amsoil be mixed with Yamalube? I'd like to try something different in both my sleds...

I mixed Yammi lube and Klotz and had no problems other than the smell

I use Amsoil in everything i own.From the car to the weedwacker.I turned down the oil pump seting to the minimum seting on my srx and didnt notice too much buildup on the power valves.
