I have a 2002 ported srx 700. Heads cut to 145 psi. I am running 148.8 148.8 150 for mains. The plugs are a nice carmel color. When I hit the gas a hold it open for about a second the dcs light starts to flash. Any suggestions on jetting? Thanks

It is not lean. The DCS is a pain in the ***. I used to run the exact same setup on my '01, with 146.3, 146.3, 147.5 for mains, with 45 pilots, even when it was -15 celcius outside. There are ways to trick the DCS, but I can't help you out there.

I KNOW EVERYBODY HAS DEFFERENT ANSWERS HERE. I FOUND A STATION HERE THAT SELLS 100 OCTANE. DCS HAS NOT BEEN ON IN THREE YEARS. I AM GONNA TRY TO CUT IT BACK WITH 94 THIS YEAR. AND YES IT HAS STOCK JETTING. 3:16 (yammie tony)

I just put that same jetting in my sled......
Last year I was running 148.8, 147.5, 147.5
If the light comes on this year, I am going to run 152.5 straight across. If that doesnt work, I am gonna disconnect that sensor and put it back to 150 148.8 148.8

your running more comp. so you need more octane or jet up more.
Keep the DCS, it's good protection!!!!!

x2ryder,
what was the temperature when your DCS light was flashing?

my dcs was being set off by the clutching, I think i was loading the motor up too much with the amount of weight on the heel clickers. I could be wrong here but its the only explanation to me as i tried new fuel, jetting up, cleaning carbs etc... and the light would keep coming on. Changed amount of washers on weights in primary, problem solved

ITS BEEN SUCH A BEAT TO DEATH TOPIC. I REALLY BELIEVE THE GAS TODAY IS THE CULPRIT. EVEN VS WHAT IT WAS 10 YEARS AGO. AND SHURE, CLUTCHING COULD CAUSE REACTION BY DCS, BUT MY FIRST OPTION IS TO RUN RACE GAS. ATLEAST 50/50. I REALIZE MOST WON,T DO THAT, SO NEXT BEST THING IS JETTING. CORY, YOUR GONNA HAVE TO TEST, START FAT AND WORK BACK. TRY AND MAKE AFEW WOT RUNS AND CHECK THINGS OUT. 3:16 (yammie tony)

Dont you think you should ask the engine builder what jetting you should be running, after all they ported the engine and must have a baseline to work from. What others run is of no importance to yours as how would you know your comparing the same specs and work??

I think the temperature has alot to do with it.

I take that back. I just pulled my carbs apart. They were jetted 150 straight across the board. I am going to go 152.5 152.5 155.

155 a big jump on that cylinder,
I would just try 152.5 straight across
152.5 is 2 sizes bigger than 150 with 151.3 being in the middle

i ran 152.5 with 120 psi & cold air kit. that was borderline on good 93 pump gas.
ask the builder. they will be able to give you a safe spec.

thanks bob,
I think I might run those jets, especially if my DCS light comes on one single time.
You surely have all the answers.
