ok as we all know the suspension on the 1994 vmax 600 leaves a lot to be desired.what suspension will fit under there to give me better travel(used).also thinking about maybe going to the ad boivin zx2 composite suspension if i hear back from them that it will work under the sled and give me a nicer ride and more travel.any sugestions ?i might add that i weigh in at about 225-230 lbs .

As long as you have new suspension mounting points just about anything will fit under there as long as track width is the same. I installed a 2000 Venture 600 skid in my 94 VMAX 600 ST long track. I just transferred donor skid mouting locations to my tunnel and drilled and reinforced tunnel where needed took about 4 hours taking my time to make sure everything was the same. A newer polaris skid is a really good option. Do not go too high of travel. It will affect handling and cause strange ski pressure. The polaris skids just before they went to Edge is readily available. Hope this helps

You can go with XT skids which is the most common i have seen or newer yami skids, for cheap the ad bovin is a nice looking skid but will cost a few more pennies, For comparison we picked up a good XT skid for $150 w/ shocks and all ready to install. as sandmanmike said any suspension will fit basically as long as the width is right and length. Just make sure to measure at least twice and drill once cause its hard to adjust that hole after you drill it.

I put an '03 RX-1 skid under my '95 Vmax 600. You can find these skids fairly cheap, you may want to find a Mono-shock skid as they've probably dropped down in price now.

do you have any pic of the machine? so you used a 2003 rx skid?did you have to do many mods or ?the one thing i liked about the zx2 ad boivin skid was no metal and the fact that snow has a very hard time sticking to the compisite material.though 1200 is a lot to put into a old sled though on the other hand less than the 10000 for a new one.Exciter570 said:I put an '03 RX-1 skid under my '95 Vmax 600.
