Installing Viper adjustable transfer rods on SXR 700?

Just bought viper transfer rods and they don't have the plastic bushings that my stock ones do. My stock rods have a plastic bushing at the top and bottom where they make contact.The bushings on the stock ones are about 4 or 5 mm thick. Are the viper rods supposed to have the same bushings?

Yes, Mine have the small at the bottom and larger at the top buy the adjustable locking nuts.
