turbo'd my exciter today :)

ah, that makes sense. I don't notice any lag at all but it didn't build more than 5.5 lbs of boost during a short burst on the throtle.
 

it would boost pretty fast to that small boost pressure anyways. if it was a regular turbo and you were shooting for a big like 15 psi or so it would take longer because you would need a bigger "fan" ( for lack of a better word! ) to get that psi. smaller turbos would boost faster but are limited in the amount of air they can efficiently push. very nice that you kinda get the best of both! thats my super-short crash course on turbos from what I have read and experienced with my old car :) hope that helps at least a little bit ;)
