Well I just pick up a reverse kit for my sled and I'm pretty happy, I don't know If I'm gonna put it myself...I called the dealer and see how much they want for the Install...I just don't feel like a task I wanna tackle right now..They are gonna call me tomorrow with a quote I hope is under 150 what do you guys think...?

I can't stop buying parts for my sled.....somebody help me I keep adding and adding and adding....

I don't think there is anything else i need for it I have it the way I want it...Guauuuu is a nice feeling...

Yea I know they are expensive...Will see...I think it will be around 140-160 it wont take them more tha 2 hours....

That's nuts

It only takes about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to install reverse if the sled does not have electric start. . Do it yourself. I know it looks like there are a lot of parts there but it's very easy. Just print out the Yamaha microfiche from the Yamaha website and go for it!

I just got off the phone with them and they told me 3.5 hours to do it and it will cost $ 266. I guess I'm doing it myself then.... I just didn't wanna tackle it.
So if only takes me 1 hour or 2 I will call them and tell them they should hire me cause they are loosing money with the guy they have working there right....jejejejejeje

can anyone tell me what sleds and years i can get cases from to install reverse on my 98 vmax 500? non electric start.

hell while at it, what do i need to add electric start to it also

Any reverse or electric start from any proaction sled (97-04) will work. On the electric start the only differnce will be the end that plugs into the ignition/starter lead. If im correct your sled is set up to plug right into the main harness. For revers you just need front cover of case, all the back covers are the same. Then you just have to watch your gears as different sleds used different type and size gears. But as long as you dont mix and match you will be fine.
