Had the sleds out today just having some fun. Doesn't look good for the rest of the week with 50 degree plus weather coming. Started the GPX but didn't like the sound of the motor. It was pinging. I figured either bad gas or carbs messed up.

Tony I need to get a clutch set up for my 80. It is a little doggy on the low end with the engaement at 3500 rpm. It does have a comet clutch on it. The sled is completely stock. I want to use it for vintage trail rides. The 79 was set up for drags when I got it and it runs real good. I just found today a 1968 ski doo olympique super 370. It is all there in close to excellent shape for the year. It has an opposed twin it. Never even new such a motor exsisted. I got it for little to nothing. Don't know if I am going to keep it being a devoted Yamaha man and all LOL.

Tony

if im not mistaken the n1 weights are notched you recommended I try a notched or rather add a notch or two to my B weights so I put set of a25's that Got with some other comet part I bought and the bottom end was insane but I couldn't get it to turn over 7000 put my B weights in and right back to 9000+ can the A25's be lightend if so how would I go about it

NYSRX, GRAB THIS YELLOW SPRING FROM KEVIN. REALLY THE ONE YA NEED. KEVIN, GOT TO BE VERY CAREFUL CUTING WEIGHT FOR ENGAGEMENT. YOU CAN WRECK A SET OF WEIGHTS PRETTY EASY. ANYWAYS THOSE CAN BE LITE,END UP PRETTY EASY WITH A BELT SANDER. YOU SAND DOWN UNDERNEATH, BUT THIS ALSO SHOULD BE DONE SLOWLY AND THAN WEIGHTS SHOULD BE MEASURED ON A GRAM SCALE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

weights

thanks Tony I'll give it a try nothing to loose as these weights were in a box of comet parts I bought off ebay for $50 started adding the prices up of all the parts in the box had 8 parts I couldn't find prices for but got to over $800. when I was done lots of 94 duster stuff but there was 3 sets of 102 rollers and that was what I wanted the rest was gravy
