98 venture 600 twin real dog on bottom

Help i have, 98 venture 600 twin it is adog o n the bottom, 100% stock, run good in mid and upper, just a dog on the bottom. give me some ideas. i am suspect cluch to early....

Carbs need cleaned? How old is your belt? How does it idle? We need more details...........

it should def not be a dog down low. our 97 600 twin with smart carbs pulls nice and clean, despite a minor carb issue we are running into now....

It seems like the clutch is engaging way to early, the belt is new, and i can smell the belt slipping. idle is around 1500rpms or so.

Could be a broken primary spring, spring length affects engagement rpm
