pre-filling carbs?

I've had a Yami mechanic tell me that Vipers often have problems starting after running out of fuel or having the tank completely emptied for the summer. I guess it's nature of the beast. Many good suggestions here to get it fired up. In the end it took me about 4 or 5 times putting fuel down the cylinders. I will use pre-mix next time if I can't get it to fire in 15-20 pulls at the start of the season.

The last time I cleaned the carbs, before I put them in I simply took a squirt oil can filled with pre-mix gas, and shot it directly into the carb gas inlets about 10 times each. It started right away, and I didn't need to bother with a hose. This is now my method of choice lol.

My srx takes ALOT of pulls prior to the first ride of the year.

I don't have the data to prove it, but it seemed easier to remove the plugs and pull the cord 25-30 times or so (much easier,) put the plugs back in and its starts before your arm falls off.

Also, I heard WD40 works better than starter fluid for a quick pick me up. I was told WD40 has lubriucant which would be easier on the motor and starter fluid doesn't. I haven't tried this one.
