My dad is the proud owner but unfortunately he sent it for a loop and is now in need of a new bulkhead. Is it a good idea to weld it? ( i can tig) how hard is it to put a new one in it? If anyone can help i would be VERY thankfull.

What part
Exactly what part did he mess up? Everything is replaceable relatively easily. Just takes time, rivets and beer!

LOL its the front, right where the shocks bolt to. Exactly its just that top portion of the bulk head.

That's easy
You don't even have to pull the motor for that one. Just find a used one. I have the rivets you will need to 50 cents a piece if you decide to go for it.

Like this
Remove both trailing arms, shocks & radius rods. Remove hood. Remove front bumper & inner brace. Remove belly pan (all in one piece....don't take the three sections apart. Remove exhaust. Unbolt steering pivot. Drill out the rivets (make sure you drive the mandrel out of the middle with a nail set or punch and a hammer....then they will drill right out. Now just install everything in reverse order. Simple....just messy and time consuming. Rivets are 50 cents each for large or small head.....you will need some of each. Let me know how many.

Madmatt!!!
HEY!!! You were right, it wasnt to bad of a job gettin it all apart. only took 7 hours and a case and a half. My dad wants 60 p.c. of the small rivets and 50 p.c. of the big rivets. If you could let me know how much shipping is and how and where to send the payment that'd be awesome. Is it best to put them in with a air powered rivet gun or will a manual gun work fine? let me know, thanks
