76-77 Srx

YOU JUST GOTTA LOVE TRIVIA!

Before you can know where you're going,
You gotta know where you're coming from!

2009 Yamaha rumor....
Do you think they'll name any of the new sleds SRX or SSR ?

Wow! Thanks for the pics guys, especially the vintage racing stuff, man I miss those days! I remember them well. Yamaha was just new on the scene, but with all of the two stroke motorcycle racing expereince behind them, the engines were always real strong, you knew if she was running right, you were going home with the gold! G.

These pics are from the 1975 Wetaskiwin North AM snowmobile races in Alberta. There were only a few of them there, only the factory boys had them, and even they were still running some free-air GPX's along side these liquids. These things flat out ROCKED! They took the competition of guard it seemed, the GPX free airs were competitive already, but these were a different animal altogether, basically running away with the wins!

The last one is my ride, complete with groupies on the same weekend, in spite of winning total points that season, I didn't do very well this day. Still had a blast though, miss the ice. G.

75 Pdc

If anybody is interested .... I know where the is one as per the discription by "RJH" .

It is a 340, has the adjustable skid, 4 bolt heads with the cylinders that have the fins on the bottom (very prototype looking) and has the circle m injectors.

It looks like whoever was racing this 75 probably widened out the front end once the 77's came along.

I do custom graphics and decals for this guy who primarly collects free air vintage racers but has this one in his collection. I've been after him for a couple of year to sell it to me but I'm out of space and my wife has had enough with the 9 sleds that fill up my garage.

If anybody is interested email me at rodney@pxl-works.com and I'll grab some pictures next time I'm out to see him and see if he is ready to sell.

From what I can tell this is a true factory PDC sled.
