I need pics of Timmy bender v max 540.. I have one of them with AAEN pipes and More!!

Wide Body Vmax

You might want to check Im sure the sled T.Bender raced back then had the wide body frame. The struts stick outside of the hood by about 2" on each side. I owned an 83 wide body SRV with this style wide body frame. Used to run an SS440 hood due to the fact the struts were outside the side bumpers. The sled in the pic looks like a stock frame the struts are almost hidden by the hood.

I agree..... But, then maybe Bender made some for sale to the general public without the widening kit ? Cool looking machine !

definitly 83 side panels on it? did the race sled have stock decals on the sidepanels? eitherway that looks pretty nice you should drag it inside and get it out of the snow....

I think you may possibly have a legitimate hood but I also see red overspray on the radiator fins??, the rest looks all stock, stock pipes under aluminum foil??, and the windshield isnt cut down. I have a few pics of Tim on these vmaxs and looks like he cut down the windshields, all of the sleds in the pics I have the wide strut kit on the front, special handlebars, differnt brake levers, etc.
I know you said the original chassis was trashed but thats the main part you need, I would try and research where it went, its likely sitting out behind someones barn and has all the parts you need if its a for real sled, it would be worth a decent buck all restored but youll need the original chassis no matter what state of condition its in, to copy.

Yep i think we found it it in the back of some guy moms house.. we gonna go check it out :D Then Thos are the pipes and carb ported cly. from bender and the track i gtta take pics of the track.. And o yea the red over spray.. Like 3 people had this thing alreaddy. they sprayed it like 3 times.......... We are going to get a new black one.

Not to many out west??? I just picked up a 91 with 2300km but needs a piston and cylinder..... motor will be parted got something else going it has more then 2 cylinders.

wide body ?

don't know about a wide body but the sled in that pic definitly has a wide kit in it . you can see the right side stut canister even the top is visible out of the body . mine 81 has a 6" wide kit (3" per side ) in stock configuation the canisters are almost completely under the hood

During the formula 111 years Mr. Bender also had a Vmax with a rear mounted outrigger ski . The chassis widening was a longer center tube not a peice welded on each side. And possibly a home made frame number . The SRV with the wide kit came as a bare frame and you had to swap all the parts over from a stocker.
