vintage oval starter sled

I have an SS440 and my fairly keen on getting started out in vintage sled oval racing. What's the concensus outh there? Is the SS a worthwhile platform to get started with?

I live near Beasejour, MB so I'll be checking out the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships in March - curious to see the turn-out with regards to F/A versus fan (and whether they run together).

the ss 440 is a great chassis to start with. wider stance then the exciter and gpx. I have buddies running them and after a few years, they've done really well
