1981 Exciter? What?

Hey everyone, I just noticed today in the dennis kirk cat that they have a listing for an '81 Exciter. Actually they list 76-81. So it must be the same body style. I have never seen and '81. Is that a typo or did they make one? If so do any of you have some pics?

81 was the last year for the EX-440. you don't see to many around as the SRV and SS440 had been out since 1980 and Most were buying it instead of the old Exciter design. They were similar in colors to the 79-80 Exciters but had orange in the graphics. I've got pics but they are to large and I don't know how to resize them.

exciter 440

I have one of those 1981 exciter 440's. Just burnned a
hole in piston last year. Starting rebuild process now!
ANybody got pistons and rings for one they want to
get rid of?
