I recently Pulled my motor to replace pto bearings. and put motor back in. To relize i had no spark. And suprizingly i found kill switch to be bad. (worked before I pulled motor) So replaced. and got spark. Motor started and ran. up until about 4500. after it idled about 2 min it worked great, for about a 1/2 mile. then back under 4500 again. Been through carbs, wiring harness, switched cdi box with working sled, fuel pump seems to be working. The sled will idle all day without fouling a plug. but will not go over 4500. It seems like it isn't timed right or something like that. Does not retard itself like tors though. Can anyone help don't have any more hair on my head to pull out!!!!

I seen stators do that before it will idle all day. untill you give it some gas and it like dies out at a certain rpm.

disable tors also.they go bad to

diable tors and jump in harness also my sx 700 had a stator act the same way idle fine also inspect pulse line at crankcase to see if leaking vacum
Thanks for the info!!! I disaabled tors has been for a long time. But i will check vacume line. If anyone knows how to test the stator that would be great. I have a mulitmeter.
